What happened in London is purely a tragedy. It does in a way remind me of 9/11 (unfornately). I pray for the everyone affected by this.

Mike, everyone is upset and disturbed by what happened this morning. If you want to take shots at liberals on this subject, you really have no ammunition. You're saying that if we hadn't attacked Iraq, we would be fighting terrorists on our streets. Britain is our closest ally with the second largest troop deployment in Iraq and that didn't stop terrorists from detonating six bombs in downtown London this morning.

No... I mean this entry of condolence and sympathy becoming a political point. I don't feel it's appropriate. Of course, I'm not going to censor it, but I think there are more appropriate entries to get partisan in.

I agree, but you have to it how you see it and the reality is that it's already a political statement... Now watch and see how this will be used by the Left both here and abroad in their constant banter to "bring our troops home". As you can see it's already started in Britain...

Of course, the nauseating MP George Galloway already has a statement out that calls for Britain to respond to the London attacks by fleeing Iraq: 
We extend our condolences to those who have lost their lives today and our heartfelt sympathy to all those who have been injured by the bombs in London. 
 
No one can condone acts of violence aimed at working people going about their daily lives. They have not been a party to, nor are they responsible for, the decisions of their government. They are entirely innocent and we condemn those who have killed or injured them. 
 
The loss of innocent lives, whether in this country or Iraq, is precisely the result of a world that has become a less safe and peaceful place in recent years. 
 
We have worked without rest to remove the causes of such violence from our world. We argued, as did the Security Services in this country, that the attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq would increase the threat of terrorist attack in Britain. Tragically Londoners have now paid the price of the government ignoring such warnings.

There is something that can be done... Keep on killing the terrorists in Iraq and any other place they try to hide... We need to continue fighting the terrorist wherever they are... If we weren't taking the fight to the terrorist in Afghanistan and Iraq I believe we would be fighting them on the streets here at home... If it was up to the Left in this country we would be subsidizing them instead of killing them...

I'm with you as well!! I was absolutely STUNNED when I read about the bombing a day after the olympics announcement. It does strike awfully close to home doesn't it! It's frightening - i'm a bit frightened, i hate to admit... and i'm heart sick for the Londoners! The tube system has virtually been shut down and for a while it would seem, as several of the major hubs of the system were badly damaged! It's just terrible and there's nothing that can be done!

I'm with you... From what I've read al Qaida has already taking responsibility... Maybe this will cause the anti war groups in Britain to see the truth concerning what the terrorists want to do... 
 
On a personal thought - how vulnerable is the Washington DC Metro? It's pretty scary when you seen passengers with loads of luggage traveling day in and day out... How hard would it be to bring an explosive onto one of the trains? Not hard at all...
