Explorers are inspiring because of all the risks, chances and courage they had/have. Entrepreneurs in many ways are explorers in their own rights ;)

Re: Age of Exploration 500 Years Later

Keith-

Your naming convention is fascinating in light of this post. Very interesting.

Re: Age of Exploration 500 Years Later

Aaron - excuse me, Technosailor - thanks, I appreciate it. And honestly, sometimes I feel the same way.

I'm still a developer and love getting back to my roots, but more and more I'm having to solve technology problems that have nothing to do with the underlying technology. Aka "How do I get people to use/find value in this?" and "How do we make this better?" I feel like it's the natural progression of my background/career.

And for clarification, I didn't see the value of Twitter until I realized it was an easy way to keep a pulse/eye on some of the people I happen to care about... personally, their opinions, or what's hitting their radars. It's incredibly handy for that.

On a related side note, the releases for WhyGoSolo have been named: Columbus, Marco [Polo], and [Daniel] Boone. The name of the next release is still secret. ;)

We're choosing these names because we believe firmly that we're taking social networking to a new place, exploring new lands where people haven't been, and connect people in more and better ways.
