Technosailor: Feed Subscriptions Are So Important

  • Joe · 1 year ago
    Hey Aaron,
FYI, I was subscribed to Technosailor using IE7 feeds before you made the transition with b5 and the feed stayed live, same in reverse, it now shows technosailor.feedburner.
    Nothing changed on my end.
    Keep up the great work.

That's interesting, Joe. It seems that it worked for some feeds and others
not so much. Also if people subscribed to the default WP theme it redirected
to the new feed when I made the switch. But those who subscribed to the
Feedburner feed seemed to have been left out in the cold when it went away.

Mine kept working as well. Sorry it happened still. If this was done recently, it might just be a TTL thing. If this change was over the weekend, it might have been our switchover from FeedBurner to Google infrastructure for feeds...

If this is older, I'm still sorry, but wanted to chime in that my subscription is good as well :)

This was back in March when the blog left the network. I've talked to Rick
Klau and the light bulb went off in both our heads at the same time around
    CNAMEing.

It is what it is. The numbers are coming back, but I'm still about 25% off
    of what I was.

I'm just subscribed to your WordPress Atom feed directly... so I wasn't affected. I'd rather skip all the FeedBurner lameness.
