Frankly, if I were in the same situation as some of the Muslims in Sri Lanka, I wouldn't bite the hand that's going to feed me for quite some time.
On the other hand...there are a few groups I'd rather starve than take assistance from, so maybe it's not as simple as it looks from the outside.

Off topic: might want to fix the "comment form on every page" phenomenon. I think you still have tabindex set for themm all at 1-5, so when I tab out of the "name" field it sends me to the "name" field in the next post's comment form. Removing tabindex should solve the problem (though it might introduce others).

I don't like the .htaccess solution. I don't know. It just doesn't seem right. It's like a President winning an election with 35% of the vote. He may win but it's not really a great confidence booster.
I did however do as suggested in the first two threads and comment out the lines in wp-login.php.
