Good entry! We have saying from back in NYC where things tended to get done half-ass and the little guys like me used to fight the trend... "Do it right now as opposed to right now.
  • Aaron Brazell · 4 years ago
Yes but this isn't about IE or development. This is about Office File formats, a standardization that Microsoft has bucked for years...

    That's great! :-D

Nice information. Coming from a family that hasn't had any military members this sort of thing is a total mystery to me. Thanks for the info!

The keynote held several clues. Most importantly, a "very soon after" interview revealed:

After Jobs' presentation, Apple Senior Vice President Phil Schiller addressed the issue of running Windows on Macs, saying there are no plans to sell or support Windows on an Intel-based Mac. "That doesn't preclude someone from running it on a Mac. They probably will," he said. "We won't do anything to preclude that."

However, Schiller said the company does not plan to let people run Mac OS X on other computer makers' hardware. "We will not allow running Mac OS X on anything other than an Apple Mac."

As you can see, Apple has no intentions whatsoever of opening the floodgates.

To hold on to the superior stability of the platform, they have to control what hardware is available for, and certified for use with the OS. One of the major problems with Winblows stability is the vast array of devices they have to support.

Make no mistake, you won't be able to buy a $200 Dell, and run OS X on it.

After talking to Jerald to find out why the site "blows"... (don't you love generic feedback like that? Like the phone call I recieved one time saying "My computer won't work".... Okay, and?) the biggest gripes were lack of theme options and font size.

For the font size, I'm hoping to just do a quickie little javascript doohickey that will enlarge the font. Maybe this weekend. That was already planned. As for the lack of theme options, there's been a few people to complain about that. My answer to that is that, while it is nice to have options, most sites do not and what about them? Following in that train of thought, it's much more difficult to maintain multiple themes simultaneously. Not all themes have the same HTML or CSS structure. Some themes, such as the current one, use customized themes for pages that might not be there in all themes, because...well, they are custom. From an administrative point of view, that double, triples and maybe quadruples the difficulty in maintaining consistency in the blog.

So that said, I don't think I will be doing multiple themes anytime soon. Sorry. :)

You know, this is an interesting case to disect. DA Tom Sneddon ran Jackson thru the mud with this case, and did alot to embarrass the hell out of him in any way he could. They even changed laws out there to allow prior allegations into current prosecutions particularily from Jackson's previous case in 93 where he settled out of court for $25mil. Now, Sneddon would love for you to believe that it was done merely for the Catholic church crisis, but even he admitted himself awhile ago that it was in part to dealing with Jackson at a future time.

He was out to get him.

Now in saying that, there is no question in my mind that Jackson is a freak. A grown man should not be sleeping with children that aren't his in his own bed. Period. And any decent parent would have objections to that kind of behavior going on. But, freak or not, that doesn't mean he was guilty, and just because a prosecutor presents evidence doesn't mean it's conclusive or damning evidence of guilt.

Hell, you could have a closet full of bondage porn mags, but just because you have them doesn't mean you go out strangling prostitutes does it?

I wasn't surprised to see the not guilty verdict. But hey, I'm a pessimist ;) LOL

Damn no wonder the relatioships within the black community are so fucked up. I could be "The Angry Black Man" But I won't this time.

I too feel like passing a bill against lynching is a bit too late and all reparations would do is screw the black community up even more.

All of this will be a forever thing and that is a shame.

WTF...Men wanting to carry babies? There are just some lanes that are not meant fo me to drive in and that is definately one of them.

Metrosexual huh? Kind of reminds me of this guy Nathaniel. I own a couple of pink shirts but that because they have a blend of other colors.

Aaron can co-sign on this my style of dress is truly different but it's mainly because I can pull it off well. To me it is more of a unique/leadership quality statement NOT METROSEXUAL.

Here is a spin off of the old "007 Goldeneye" for the old N64. Like Goldeneye i call it License to Kill, or LTK for short. Its bascly one shot one kill if you get a solid hit with almost any wep. All of my friends love it. Im pretty sure im not the only one that has done this one. Its a simple slayer, but if you incorperate the settings into capture the flag or something else it adds a new level of difficulty. You can play teams or no teams doesnt matter. I recomend jaking the kills up though, it goes by real fast if you dont. No shields, Extra damage, I prefer human weps but it doesnt really matter. It also helps if you take almost all respon times out, including su., and bet. The wep respawn has to be half time or you run out of ammo. I do recomend taking snip, and explosives out. Have fun.

I have three game types Virus, Battle Royale, and tremors. Virus was invented by me and Battle Royale was invented by a good friend call Mayra Calderon and Tremors was invented by another friend called Roderick Pineda.

    Virus:

There are 2-4 teams If a person kills you, you need to change to there team. The team to make everyone there team or reach 50 kills wins. There is constant team changing on this one. But I have seen lone players come back and win it all with a snipe or just being smart.

    Battle Royale (based on movie):

You have 1 life there are only 2 minutes in each round, weapon is set on random. There are no weapons on map, grenades, turrets, overshield, or vehicles. Only thing on map is the Camo. There are 4 rounds. This one is interesting because the only way you can get another weapon is to kill someone. You can team up but at the end you have to kill eachother because there can only be one survivor.

    Tremors: (based on movie)

It is 1 flag capture the flag there are only Ghost's. No turrets, no weapons, No grenades, no weapons on map either. There are 2 "Tremors" they ride the Ghost's and they try to splatter the people trying to get the flag. The people have no weapons except the plasma pistol but can not shoot. The only thing they can do is to jump on cliffs and rocks to avoid getting splattered. Its best when there are 4 or more against the tremors. Tremors win if they get 10 kills people win if they get the flag.

It's a reasonable thing to consider with little or no time investment (nor worrying) on my part. It would give others in another part of the world the opportunity to have a degree of free speech.

That's an interesting one there Aaron - it starts off fine then just goes down the drain... i'm voting for the drunk explanation myself - just make sure you get that peace of safety! i myself wouldn't mind getting a piece, uh, i mean... hehehehe

This is a game variant called Dead Man's Bluff.

    Type: King of the Hill

    Starting Weapon: Sniper Rifle

    Secondary Weapon: Shotgun

    Vehicles: None

    Weapons on Map: None

    Crazy Hill: off

Person on Hill has damage resistance

This game is REALLY fun especially for you snipers. Best played in a map like Coagulation. Sniper Rifles are for far away and Shotguns are for up close. People have a blast with this one. Snipers usually get sniped trying to snipe the person on the hill while the person on the HIll tries to figure ut whos sniping him or deal with someone who has just snuck up on him with a shotgun.

Interesting discussion...If I may comment, as we have seen Bush just came out in defense of Gonzales. Is that a sign? I'm leaning against it because it seems too obvious, except I do believe Bush would put him on the court. They are good friends. The guy is only 50, and could be around a long time. If pro-lifers are upset about that prospect, they should know by now that Bush doesn't pay attention to popularity polls.

When the Constitution came into existence, things like abortion and gay marriage were not on anyones mind... Ever wonder why we refer to it as a living document? Because society changes, and we are allowed to make interpretations based on an advancing society.

When it comes to faith and religion, whos faith and religion are we talking about? That's very important. The founding fathers may have been very religious, but they also believed your faith is private. Judges should rule based upon the Constitution, not their personal religious faith. Therefore, it shouldn't matter if the judge is a Christian, Muslim, Jew...or even atheist.

So what are you saying MIKE? I am looking for a handout? You must have been drinking way too much scotch!!! Talk about paying dues...With all due respect who are you to tell me about paying dues. I have payed them since the day I was born and will continue to pay them until the day I die.

And what's even worst is my sons and daughters will pay MY dues as they grow up IN AMERICA. I have been called N*gger to my face, talked to as if I don't know anything, and in some cases even treated as though my opinion doesn't count even after being asked what I thought.

Who gives a shit about flags hanging from houses? I know I don't. My ancestors paid there dues a long time ago by taking the physical and verbal abuse from some of your uncles, aunts, cousins, and great-great whoevers but I bet your children don't have to pay dues today.

I have listened to your crap about being american and patriotism and to me you sound just like one of those people I was referring to. What dues have you paid? What being a republican? You sit there with your ONE SIDED opinion and expect everybody else to jump on your bandwagon.

Seems to me like everybody that is on your bandwagon is DRUNK and I am sure they will be offended by my words but like AJ wrote I have that freedom to sat just what I feel.

Just because you hang a flag outside of your house doesn't qualify you as patriotic because I know a lot of assholes who do have them hanging outside of theirs.

    U DON'T KNOW ME PLAYA!!!

Chilling is something we can't afford to do... The sooner people realize we are at WAR the better... It's not a question of "will we be hit" it's "When will we be hit"...
