Anything above a PR5 is going to be hard for you to get. With Google's recent upgrade it has apparently gotten much harder to increase PR. I actually went down from PR6 to PR5 a few days ago. Don't worry though, PR is becoming less relevant unless you're trying to sell advertising on your site.
