  Aaron, I agree with you that Matt is overwhelmed. The odd thing is, if he had the time, I think he could take BH to the next level. But as you point out, Matt is in the same position Duncan was (maybe worse... Matt may have even more on his plate).
  
  What happened when you offered to write? You are the type of writer he needs, in my opinion.

  Thanks for the props, Brian. I don't know if I'm the type he needs or not. After spinning most of my non-blogging topics to other blogs, I wonder what would become of my blogging here since I talk alot about blogging here.
  
  At any rate, I sent an initial email to Matt yesterday asking if he was still looking. He responded that he recieved several applications but hadn't chose any yet and asked if I was interested. I told him I might be but I needed more informatino and that's where it is right now. Nothing really to report.

  Hey Aaron, very good assessment of things over at BH. I think lately Matt's been doing an incredibly good job so I'm actually pretty confused to see the Alexa stats look like that. I don't really trust Alexa much anyway, seeing as how they show 9rules higher in the same timespan, even though we're nowhere near where we'd like to be for traffic. I really hope that you get picked to write over there... we've had some good conversations in the past via email so it'd be great to hear your voice at a familiar stomping ground :)

  Craig, sorry that you feel things have gone downhill and that you've unsubscribed, I hope to win you back in the near future.
  
  Aaron, well written post and good assessment. I do think there's a direct correlation between the number of posts (and timing of the posts) vs our traffic since February. We were on an upward trend in Feb/March when we had multiple bloggers on the site - since it was just me after early April and I post longer, but less pieces, our traffic has dropped.
  
  There are several other factors at play but not any that I'm willing to discuss publicly - I do, however, have confidence that we're on the right track and have several new things we should be veiling in the next few weeks.
  
  Progress is good. ;)

  Thanks for stopping by, Matt. I'm glad it seems you took my criticism in stride. I think BH was a great addition to BlogMedia (and a terrible loss for b5media) and I'm hoping you're able to right the ship soon.

  Aaron, what a perfect post, you just echoed my thoughts and beat me to this. I was actually thinking about posting an article on the same lines. Oh! Well!!
  
  I think some of the success of the blog herald has to do with the magnetic influence of Duncan, that currently Matt lacks. Matt blogs way too proffesionally and just quotes what's happening in other blogs. In other words, it's just a reporting service on blogs. :( Blog herald could use some good content. I see promise in the "how do I blog" feature.
  
  TBH could definitely use some full-time writers who care only about the Blog Herald and not post haphazardly due to pressure. Being the first to post something matters a lot and the layout could use a change as well. It's getting a bit annoying.
