Glad that they no longer require positive reviews. That was a major sore point for me. But with regard to SERPs influence, they could easily work around this by requiring (or at least always allowing) nofollow links. Last I checked, the advertiser could demand that the links not have a nofollow attribute.

And you're right... a lot of people don't realize that this is bad and are unaware of its potential ramifications. At the very least, the bloggers should be made aware of how they could potentially be screwing themselves.

Well to be clear, they didn't just buy me a few drinks. I met Ted at Mesh too. In both cases, he came across to me as a very personable (almost affable) guy that is trying to build a business. We diverge on methods and philosophies, but I have no personal distaste for Ted.

The Rockstar video show camera guy following him like paparazzi is sort of elitist and annoying, but it's whatever.

The word 'exploit' comes to mind.

The long tail is very long in the mom-o-sphere and they were some of the first to fall for the ppp load of crap. I watched countless women lose all their readers with in weeks because they had no clue.

I'm not buying this current climate of change at PPP, regardless of what they are 'saying.' I have yet to see any 'good faith' on their part other than to change their name in order to save their business model.

Ted's going to have to buy me more than a few drinks to convince me his company is 'good people.' I'm happy to watch and wait, but my money is on PPP's continued rape and pillage of the long tail.
