I'm also seriously concerned about the fiscal policies of the Republicans. I find it ironic that Kerry has put more focus on getting a balanced budget than Bush has. I'm a conservative, and feel very alienated from the Republican party on fiscal policy. It seems that having a balanced budget isn't a priority at all anymore.
Regarding education, NCLB is pretty much just a red herring. If either candidate wanted to talk about school choice and voucher programs, they'd have my attention.

Pablito-- you've done an excellent job of dredging up an old entry. No siento dolor. I feel no pain for you though because your social security argument is weak. We all pay too much and get too little.
Hey on a brighter side though, if Bush manages to attain his fantasy of a defacto union with MExico, at least you'll have plenty of other poor folks with no jobs thinning out this "rich nation".

I've taken more of an interest in politics lately ;). I never really cared before, but things are getting ridiculous on every side of the fence now.
And oh boy does that law need to be rewritten! I guess Congress members passed it because they didn't want to look like they were "against children" or whatever come reelection time. The general public needs to learn to read these laws more thoroughly before going to the polls or believing the other side.
